Ladies and Gentlemen,
Another flat spot has been discovered on our
aircraft. 64L has new tires, and now the
right main shows signs of a cross-wind landing with braking, causing the tire
to be flat-spotted.
It is understandable these things happen. However, if you have experienced a rougher
than normal landing, please check out the aircraft thoroughly -- including
monitoring 121.5. If you discover
something like this tire, PLEASE CALL somebody.
DO NOT LEAVE IT TO BE SQUAWKED by the next pilot. Now that pilot has to determine whether or
not it's safe to fly the airplane, and if he/she decides it is unsafe, guess
what? That pilot may have to wait awhile
before another aiplane comes available, or wait while
the bad tire has to be replaced. Either
way, it's not very courteous.
Yours,
Jeff Vanhoozer
